About us
Today, most people use AI through a chat interface, talking to a model that runs somewhere in the cloud. It's convenient, but it comes with real tradeoffs — privacy, and the cost of running it.
I've spent years as a software engineer at a major PC manufacturer, exploring what PCs and software can do. A few years ago, I saw real potential in running small AI models directly on a PC, and I've been researching and building on that idea ever since.
Lightia AI makes the most of the computing power already inside your PC, turning AI and software into a more natural, easier experience to use. We're working toward a future where privacy is respected, dependence on the cloud and its costs are reduced, and everyone can do more with the PC they already have.
